March 26th, 2012Entry Title: Advantes Investor Brochure
Division and category: Communications Creative
Entrant’s Organization: Wilson Monnig Creative, LLC
Client: Advantes
Project time period: 2 months from conception meeting to client delivery
Description: Advantes turned to Wilson Monnig Creative to produce a high-end Marketing brochure to showcase work to potential investors. The result was just that, within the first week Advantes had the investment they desired.
Project Summary
Wilson Monnig Creative was charged with repositioning our client, Advantes, in the real estate redevelopment market. To succeed, Advantes needed an infusion of investors who trusted the company to turn a reasonable profit on return for their financial support. Advantes is a 10-year-old company that combines a brokerage firm (Advantes Realty, LLC) and a development firm (Advantes Development, LLC). The company acquires properties in the metro St. Louis area to redevelop and fit existing neighborhood parameters.
Intended Audience
The brochure’s audience is investors who are willing to support Advantes and expect a financial return on their investment. By designing and producing a high-end brochure, we simplified the investor path for financial support.
Objectives
The goal for Wilson Monnig Creative was to support Advantes in their objective of creating long-term value for investors regardless of varying economic climates. Because of the distressed real estate market and the proliferation of reality television programs that highlighted the disasters of “flipping” a property, Advantes wanted to distance themselves from that negative image and present a sophisticated, solid portrait of their work. That positive image, mirrored in the high-end brochure Wilson Monnig Creative designed, appealed to investors who would otherwise be hesitant to become involved in the current real estate climate.
Before our involvement, Advantes personnel would approach potential investors with a fistful of papers stuffed in a pocket folder. With our glossy brochure, Advantes presented in a professional, businesslike way, creating a sense of stability for investors.
Key Messages/Theme
Our message, with a high-end brochure, was to show an environment of security for investors who would commit to the Advantes redevelopment goals, regardless of economic conditions and the real estate market health. Investors usually make a commitment on a first-time impression. With our brochure, we supported Advantes with a sophisticated market publication to shorten the process of investor infusion and solidify the company’s slogan “Invest, live, rebuild, sell.”
Creative Rationale
Wilson Monnig Creative provided our client, Advantes, with a sophisticated, high-end product that would impress potential investors. The properties showcased in the brochure prove Advantes’ return on investment and a sense of long-term stability and financial return. We included a detailed profit worksheet for each property to demonstrate Advantes’ ability to turn a profit for the company and investors.
We decided on the concept of fewer words and more pictures in order to show each product (each individual renovation project) in a showcase manner but still pull it all together as a complete advertising brochure. We utilized past project before and after pictures to provide the viewer with an opportunity to feel the amazing transformation that each property progressed through from beginning to end. The brochure format makes potential investors feel they are personally involved in the renovation process.
Results
Our marketing brochure was developed to attract capital for our client’s budding real estate development company. The brochure was flashy yet professional and Advantes team members who viewed the brochure were extremely impressed and ready to begin using this marketing tool. Within a week of the brochure completion the company president had a meeting set up with an investment group that created a $2,000,000 credit line specifically for development project ventures with Advantes Development.
The brochure afforded Advantes the opportunity to open the doors of bigger investment groups in the St. Louis area that they would not otherwise been able to obtain. By sending the brochure to these various groups in advance, they were able to create a buzz before they even followed up with the investment groups trying to set up a meeting. Once they got in the door they were able to sell the company extremely well.

Facebook Timeline Now Lets Your Business Tell It’s Story!
March 5th, 2012By now, just about everybody on Facebook has been acquainted with the new Timeline layout. Well now that option is available for brand Pages as well. This has been highly anticipated as the new feature gives brands and businesses an opportunity to tell their story in chronological order in addition to offering increased aesthetics. The layout is more
appealing than the previous –a cleaner look along with a cover photo that begs for attention. Starting with when the brand was founded, businesses are able to highlight milestones, achievements, and notable dates in their history with a larger post consisting of photos and a story. The idea is to give the brand an identity and make the Pages more Social. Which it does. Before Timeline, a Page’s content was simply a running river of information that drifted further away from Fans with each passing day. Now Fans will be able to recall past content with ease using a menu of dates listed off to the side. With Timeline available for Pages, we are sure to see some fun and creative ideas to add to a business or brand’s identity. Right now all Pages have the option to convert until it goes live at the end of the month. Some brands that have already changed over that we like are Coca-Cola, Red Bull, and SportsCenter. While you’re checking em out, cruise on over to our Page and share your thoughts!
