Website design for Cleaning Company
December 1st, 2011
“Wilson Monnig is great! They spent time with me going over what my options were for marketing my small business. Setting up a facebook, twitter, and webpage is what we decided would be the best for now. The next day when I went to Melissa’s office, they were already working on my project and had everything done in less than a week! She asked me what I wanted on my webpage and I told her to make it user friendly, the rest I would trust her judgment. Wilson Monnig came through for me…my site is very user friendly, (even I can figure it out!) They took time out to walk me through everything they did for me. Their work is very professional, and affordable as well. I would recommend Wilson Monnig to anyone who wants to make their companies grow.” – Tammy Gremminger
14.2¢ Direct Mailing Campaign with no list buy
November 17th, 2011By now, you may have heard of Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM) the new program by the postal service. Although the service was rolled out earlier this year, many area businesses are just now getting comfortable with the true impact it can offer.
The Every Door Direct Mail is just that. You identify a location you would like to send mail, research carrier routes (don’t worry we know how to do that), and your piece of mail is delivered to EVERYONE* on that mail route. An average mail route often has 300 – 600 homes and businesses.
You can mail catalogs, brochures, samples, or postcards as long as they meet the “commercial flat” size requirement (6.125″ tall or longer than 11.5″ and no thicker than 1/4 of an inch. Not to exceed 12″ x 15″).
Traditional direct mail still has great impact when targeting specific individuals and we highly recommend as a tool in your marketing plan. But EDDM allows you to target geographically at a portion of the cost.
Cost… Although you save money on postage and not needing a mailing list you should still expect some traditional expenses.
- Printing the material is often the most variable cost in this marketing campaign.
- Graphic Design and Copywriting are most likely needed.
- Mail preparation for the campaign is strict so hiring an experienced firm or printer is recommended.
- Postage for the campaign is due at the time it is mailed.
Saving money…. In addition to lower postage and no mailing list, businesses can save money by teaming together to co-market. We have worked with neighbor companies, companies in a strip mall, and complimentary service companies that share the same target audiences. By sharing the cost with one or even seven other businesses the campaign cost is drastically reduced.
When Wilson Monnig Creative delivered our first EDDM campaign earlier this year, we learned we were the very first EDDM campaign many of the postal workers had seen. With experience, an amazing printer, and a talented group of writers and designers we are able to execute campaigns starting for as little as 25¢ a piece. Every campaign is different so call 314.884.1196 to get specific pricing for your needs.
*You actually don’t have to go to every door. You can choose to omit businesses from your mailing route, avoid PO boxes, and even rural routes. Furthermore, you have the opportunity to omit certain addresses; such as competitors and existing customers
Share Finished Work with Pride
November 14th, 2011When a website, print piece, video, graphic design project is complete be sure to publish your work. By creating a portfolio you share your talent, promote your company, and promote the client. Follow these steps to make sure you’re work is complete:
- Name final files appropriately and store properly
- Make sure all expenses, passwords/logins, meeting notes are up to date
- Create a small thumbnail (150×150 or 200 x 120) and larger image (600 x 480) as a png
- Create a one page fact sheet with the larger graphic, author/designer/programmer name; date; client; challenge; solution; result
- Upload graphic/screenshot to a website/blog
- Share project on social media
- If appropriate enter the project for an award
- Put finished project in folder/portfolio

Website Designs by Wilson Monnig
October 25th, 2011“We could not be happier with our new website created by Wilson Monnig Creative. It has been up and running just a few weeks now and we have already had several compliments on the ease of navigation, color and design choices, and how in-depth the specific areas are. We also like having the ability to edit the coupons, text and images on our site without having to get the designer involved which allows us to quickly respond to specific holidays and events we want to market.” – Bill Allen, Owner Instant Imprints
